Powerful explosion in Sherpur

A gang of miscreants hurled a powerful bomb at a watch shop in Sherpur town on Monday night. However, no injury was reported in the explosion which extensively damaged ‘Habib Watch Co’ the watch shop at Kakoli Market on Shaheed Bulbul Road. Police said Habib Watch Co was damaged as miscreants blasted the bomb targeting it last night. Witnesses said locals heard sound of a powerful explosion when two unknown miscreants from a motorcycle threw a bomb at Habib Watch Co. around 8:00pm. No casualty was reported in the incident, they added. Mazharul Karim, officer-in-charge of Sherpur Sadar Police Station confirmed the bomb blast. The reason behind the explosion could not be known yet, he added, according to UNB.
