PPRC holds policy seminar on study findings Thursday

Power and Participation Research Centre (PPRC) has completed a comprehensive study on the state of the economy during this period of global recession with a triple focus on macro, meso and micro trends.
A dissemination and policy seminar has been arranged Thursday at 10 am at LGED auditorium (Level 2) at Agargaon in the city to present findings on the macro and meso trend components of the study.
Dr Salehuddin Ahmed, former governor of Bangladesh Bank, will present the findings.
Dr Mirza Azizul Islam, former adviser of the caretaker government, Prof Mahbubullah from the department of development studies, Dhaka University, Prof Mustafizur Rahman, executive director of Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Dr MK Mujeri, director general of BIDS, Annisul Huq, president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Ambassador Toufique Ali, former permanent representative at World Trade Organisation (WTO), Nazrul Islam, chairman of Association of Bankers, Bangladesh, will constitute a distinguished panel to review findings and policy challenges.
Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman, former adviser of caretaker government, is expected to preside over the seminar.
