PR workshops for SME

Tuesday, 18 May 2010

Two separate workshops on 'Building relationship with media through effective communication' were held in Rangpur recently to sensitize the small and medium businesses on how to get their voice heard in the media, said a press release.
The two-day long workshops, organized by Katalyst, a commerce ministry project, were jointly conducted by Impact PR and Futures Leaders to train the members of the rural business associations on how to build an effective relationship with media to pursue their goals. The SME's presence in the media is very insignificant despite the fact that the sector contributes around 70 per cent of the total economy.
The training for the members of Rangpur Bahumukhi Samobai Somiti (RBSS) was held on May 12 and 13 while for Seed Production Business Association (SPAB), it was held on May 14 and May 15.
