PRAN 3rd mango pulping plant opens at Natore

The third mango pulping plant of PRAN Agro Limited was inaugurated at its Natore factory Tuesday, said a press release.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Ahad Ali Sarkar inaugurated the ceremony as the chief guest.
The state minister said PRAN has taken initiative for the socio economic development of northern region of the country.
PRAN-RFL Group Chief Executive Amjad Khan Chowdhury said in his speech that it is totally an agro-based company and all its raw materials are collected from all the corners of the country.
Each year PRAN buys a good number of mangoes and preserve its pulp for using around the year.
This year PRAN set a target of Tk 700 million (70 crore) to collect 30 thousand tonnes of mangoes from the local farmers.
This amount is almost double than that of the last year.
Besides, the company has spent nearly Tk 1.50 billion for procuring green raw materials like chinigura rice, tamarind, termeric, corriender, chilli, cumin, ground nut, mustered, mug dal, tomato and others, he said.
