PRAN approves 31pc dividend

FE Report AMCL (PRAN) declared 31% dividend to its shareholders for the year 2010-2011 at the 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Bir Muktijoddha Sadeque Hossain Khoka Community Centre Complex, Dhaka Thursday. Lt Col Mahtabuddin Ahmed (Retd), Chairman, Maj Gen Amjad Khan Chowdhury (Retd), Managing Director, Mr. Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director, Sabiha Amjad, Director, Uzma Chowdhury, Director, Eleash Mridha, Director, Choudhury Atiur Rasul, Director, Chowdhury Kamruzzaman, Director, Khandker Fazle Rabi, Director and Md. Abu Kawser, Company Secretary attended the Annual General Meeting. Shareholders thanked the management for achievements of the Company over the years and made valuable suggestions for improvement in running the business of the Company. They re-iterated their profound confidence in the management. It was reported that in spite of stiff competition in the market, the pre-tax profit of the Company was Tk. 55.36 million in 2010-11 while gross turnover was Tk. 1442.66 million, and the total export figure was Tk. 279.32 million (including incentive). The AGM ended by seeking continued support of the investors of the Company and with a vote of thanks to the Chair. Extraordinary general meeting (EGM) was arranged at the same vanue earlier in the morning.
