Pran Exports inks $3.5m deal with 3 Middle East cos

Pran Exports Ltd (PEL), a subsidiary of Pran-RFL group, Sunday signed three separate export contracts worth $ 3.5 million with three companies in the Middle East.
Hassan Mahbub, chief of PEL, and Tariq Al Natsheh, general manager of M/s LANKA ROSE COMPANY of Jordan, Md. Omor Faruk Mia, a representative of M/S BR MARZOOQ AL HARBI AL MOULID TRADING EST of Saudi Arabia, and Md Abul Hossain of M/S Al-Qusour Al_Fakhirah Trading EST of Saudi Arabia on behalf of their respective sides signed the agreements.
"We are pleased to inform you that Pran products are now being exported to 70 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa," Hassan Mahbub, chief of PEL, prior to the signing ceremony told the reporters at a press conference in the National Press Club.
Tariq Al Natsheh, general manager of M/s LANKA ROSE Company of JORDAN, said many people have the conception that the Bangladeshi food products are only consumed by expatriate Bangladeshis, but in-fact the products are gaining more popularity among the locals of foreign countries because of the high quality.
M/s LANKA ROSE Company of JORDAN signed an agreement to import PRAN products worth $0.50 million for Jordanian market for the next one year. This is the first export agreement between Jordan and any Bangladeshi food processing company, Tariq said at the press conference.

His company signed an agreement to import products worth $2 million over the next five years. Abdullah Ali-Al Habadi, a director of M/S BR MARZOOQ AL HARBI AL MOULID TRADING EST of Saudi Arabia, was also present on the occasion.
Md Abul Hossain, representative of M/S Al-Qusour Al_Fakhirah Trading Est of Saudi Arabia, said his company is keen to import Pran products as it maintains quality standard. The company signed agreement for import of Pran products worth $ 1.0 million over next one year.
At the signing ceremony, among others, PRAN-RFL Group senior Manager - (Exports) Major Paramuddin Hossain (Retd), Manager-Exports Md. Ferdush Hasan, Md. Munirul Islam, Asst. Brand Manager Md. Arifur Rahman and other high officials were present.
