'PRAN-Prothom Alo pickle competition winners get prize

Prize giving ceremony of 9th PRAN Prothom Alo National Pickle Competition-2008' was held Sunday, says a press release.
Ex-principal of Home Economics College Feroza Sultana, film actress Diti, recipe specialist Sitara Ferdous, singer Krishnakoli, TV artiste Sharmili Ahmed, Richi Solaiman, Swety and Bindu sat in the panel of judges and tasted each sample most diligently and patiently to select the winners.
Jobaida Sharif of Chittagong on the best pickle prize of the year, defeating other one thousand participants. She got Dhaka-Kualalumpur-Dhaka air tickets along with a holiday package.
Participants judged first, second and third in the competition were awarded Dhaka-Katmandu-Dhaka air tickets, refrigerator and dinner sets respectively in the four different pickle categories: Sour, Sweet, Hot and Others. In addition 35 other participants also received consolation prizes.
Daily Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman, Director of Pran RFL Uzma Chowdhury and Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar were present at the function.
