Pranab won\\\'t vote in Lok Sabha polls

NEW DELHI, May 9: India President Pranab Mukherjee will not cast his vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Mr Mukherjee's Press Secretary Venu Rajamony said Friday the President took such a decision to maintain his neutrality in the political fray. Rajamony said Mr Mukherjee decided not to exercise his franchise in tradition with his predecessors. Earlier, he had completed all the formalities for voting through postal ballot, thus making him the first Head of the State to do so. The President had ordered a postal ballot to cast his vote for South Kolkata Lok Sabha seat which goes to polls Monday, the last phase of voting. He is a registered voter in 160 Rashbehari, part of South Kolkata parliamentary seat. — BSS
