Premier Bank opens new premises for IT, Data centre in city

Premier Bank Limited has established new premises for Information Technology (IT) and Data Centre Division at the 10th floor of Iqbal Centre in the city Saturday to go wider with banking services across the country, said a press release.
Daily Shamakal Editor Golam Sarwar inaugurated the new office as the chief guest, while Premier Bank Vice-chairman BH Haroon was present as the special guest on the occasion.
Chaired by Premier Bank Chairman HBM Iqbal, the inaugural ceremony was attended, among others, by its Director Kazi Abdul Mazid, Managing Director M Shah Alam Sarwar, additional managing directors Abu Haniff Khan and Md Mokhlesur Rahman, and head of IT Division Ahmed Tabshir Choudhury along with other executives of the bank.
Golam Sarwar praised HBM Iqbal for enriching modern IT division of the bank and said "In the age of information technology there is no alternative of IT and in the arena of modern banking its necessity is indispensable".
So, the bank has to ensure its quality to increase customer service, he said.
The experienced officials will play a great contribution in bank and national economy by utilising modern IT, he added.
Mr Iqbal said, "The bank is determined to enrich the knowledge and acquaintance by involving the advantages of IT. So the bank's IT division is flourished at a large scale having modern opportunities and supports.
He also said "Our commitment to build up the IT-based banking as the centre of banking business will reach far with the opening of new IT floor getting all modern supports."
Mr Haroon urged the banks authority to introduce the latest IT in banking service for the customers of the bank. As modern banking means technology-based banking.
