Preparation complete to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in Rangpur

Rangpur district, including the divisional city, has worn a festive look as preparations have been completed for holding Holy Eid-ul-Fitr Jamat (congregations) at 1,010 Eidgahs in all 8 upazilas on Monday. RCC authority, district and police administrations have completed all necessary preparations to hold the main jamaat at Rangpur Collectorate Eidgah in the city at 9am. Special security measures have been taken to hold the Eid jamats peacefully throughout the district. A total of 77 Eid jamats will be held in Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) area on the Eid day. City Mayor Alhaj Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu, Divisional Commissioner Dilwar Bakht, Acting Deputy Inspector General for Rangpur Range Humayun Kabir, Deputy Commissioner Farid Ahammad, Police Super Abdur Razzaque, high officials, political leaders, public representatives, academicians and professionals are expected to participate in the main congregation. Like the previous years, the biggest Eid congregation will be held at Taluk Habu Eidgah Maidan under Gangachara upazila where over 100,000 musallis are expected to take part. The major Eid-ul-Fitr jamats will be held at the Police Line Ground, Rangpur Zila School Ground, Munshipara Eidgah, Medical College Ground, Kamal Kachhna Eidgah, Bahar Kachhna Eidgah, Koilash Ranjan School Ground, Carmichael College Ground RCCI School and College Ground, Collectorate School and College Ground between 8 am and 9 am in the city, according to BSS.
