Preparation of digitised voter list begins from Rajshahi

The main task of preparing digitised voter list with photographs for the next elections eventually started from Rajshahi City Corporation Saturday with gusto of enthusiasm among the voters, reports UNB.
Chief Adviser of the Caretaker Government Fakhruddin Ahmed is expected to formally inaugurate the onerous task of voter listing on August 14, which will gradually cover the entire country in phases.
Chief Election Commissioner ATM Shamsul Huda and Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed are also expected to attend the inaugural function.
On the first day of the two-week-long work schedule, the voters' photographs, fingerprints and signatures were taken at 101 registration centres in 30 wards of the north-western city.
