Preparations going on to observe Rabindra Sangeet Sammelan in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Mar 07: All out preparations are going on to observe Rabindra Sangeet Sammelan in the district. To observe the long desired national event a strong implementation committee headed by principal of Nilphamari Government College Prof Debi Proshad Roy as president and Dr Mozibul Hasan Saheen as member secretary along with as many as 10 sub-committees has been formed to make the event attractive, elegant and befitting as well.
Sources said delegates from renowned scholars of the country including poets, writers, economics, civil society members, artists, singers and so on from all the 64 district of the country would attend the festival.
Conference sources said more than 1,000 delegates across the country are expected participate the event.
Hectic preparations are going on to build the platform where performances are to take place. Multiple gates have been erected in the main roads to welcome the guests and the roads and side walls have been decorated with paintings and pictures. The works ware done by the artists those who came from Dhaka Artists college and other art institutions of Dhaka.
Arrangement has been make to accommodate nearly 1,000 participants coming from across the country. They would be accommodated in different residential hotels, rest houses and also in the residential homes of some selected individuals.
To be held on March 9, 10 and 11 on the Nilphamari Government High School ground, the commemoration has created huge enthusiasm among the inhabitants of the district and festive environment prevails everywhere in the northern region.
While contacted Mozibul Hasan Shahin said all preparations has nearly been completed.
Sources said Social Welfare Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, is supervising the works exclusively.
While contacted President of Sammilita Sangskritik Jote Ahsan Rahim Monzil said the event is an historic one and it is a rare opportunity for us to make it a grand success.
