Saturday, 30 August 2014

KUSHTIA, Aug 29 (BSS): Information Minister and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Hasanul Haq Inu today said the present government is a constitutional government elected by the people.
"Those who are calling this government illegal want to go to power illegally without elections," he said talking to journalists at the Kushtia Circuit House.
The minister said the opposition parties can wage a movement and organise rallies and processions maintaining rules and regulations.
But any move to launch a movement with bombs and knives in hands would be dealt with iron hand, he added.
Referring to the killing of TV presenter Nurul Islam Faruqi, Inu said the present government has taken quick steps to arrest the perpetrators of all murders. The Narayanganj incident is one of such examples, he added.
He criticised BNP chief Begum Khaleda Zia for shifting the blame of Faruqi murder onĀ  the government.
Khaleda Zia and her husband Ziaur Rahman have the record of hiding the killers, the minister said, adding that the present government is taking steps against culprits irrespective of their political affiliation and personal identity.
Kushtia Deputy Commissioner Syed Belal Hossain, Police Super Proloya Sisim and district JSD President Golam Mohsin and General Secretary Abdul Alim were present on the occasion.
