President asks CCB to work for labour maket expansion

President Abdul Hamidon urged the members of Consular Corps in Bangladesh (CCB) Tuesday to work for expanding country's labour market abroad, reports UNB.
President Hamid made the call while a delegation of the CCB called on him at Bangabhaban in the city.
The CCB is a non-profit representative body of Honorary Consuls General or Consuls in Bangladesh established in September, 2007.
The CCB is affiliated with the Federations Internationale des Corps et Associations Consulaires (FICAC).
During the meeting, the President asked the consular officers to find out potential sectors to enhance the Bangladesh's relations with different countries concerned, said President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin.
Mentioning about vivid possibilities of the country, he said there is a huge possibility of commerce and investment where the honorary consuls can work together. The President was apprised by the CCB delegation of various steps they have taken to strengthen Bangladesh's relations with the world.
In Bangladesh, Honorary Consular Officers, Consuls General and Consuls have been appointed in Dhaka and Chittagong by as many as 45 countries.
Their works include, accelerating the bilateral relations among the countries, helping businessmen and tourists with problems, promoting commerce and cultural exchanges.
