President asks PGR members to discharge duties with sincerity

President Abdul Hamid on Saturday asked members of the President Guard Regiment (PGR) to discharge their duties with sincerity maintaining the chain of command. ‘I hope you’ll be fully loyal to your chain of command in discharging your duties and responsibilities, and help improve the standard of the regiment,’ the President said while addressing the Darbar of PGR at Shahid Captain Hafiz Hall at the PGR Headquarters of Dhaka Cantonment on the occasion of its 39th founding anniversary. President Hamid further said, ‘Keep in your mind that your any sacrifice in discharging your duties and responsibilities, bestowed upon you by the nation and country, will always be remembered in the nation’s history.’ He said on one side the duty bestowed upon the PGR is matter of pride and it is very important on the other. Later, the President signed the visitor’s book and joined a photo session with PGR officials. The Army chief, the PGR Commander, high military and civil officials were also present on the occasion, according to UNB.
