President asks PSC to gain people's confidence

President Md Abdul Hamid asked the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) to work with more accountability and accuracy to gain people's confidence, reports UNB.
He made the call when a 13-member PSC delegation, led by its Chairman Dr Muhammed Sadique, met him to hand over the PSC's annual report-2017 to the President at Bangabhaban on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the President advised the PSC members to increase the use of information technology in all the affairs of the commission, said President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin while briefing reporters after the meeting.
Hamid expressed his satisfaction over accountability and accuracy in the PSC activities, including examination method and candidate selection process, and asked them to make the PSC a 'centre of excellence'.
The PSC chairman apprised the President of the overall activities of the commission as well as various aspects of the report.
He said the PSC is working to create opportunities for the meritorious students after proper evaluation of the exam criteria.
The PSC delegation also congratulated Abdul Hamid on being reelected the President for the second consecutive term. Secretaries concerned to the President were also present.
