President back home after performing Hajj

President Abdul Hamid returned home on Friday night from Saudi Arabia after performing Holy Hajj. A regular flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President landed at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport at 9.15pm. The President was received by industries minister Amir Hossain Amu, commerce minister Tofail Ahmed, agricultural minister Matia Chowdhury, principle secretary to the PM, Dean of the diplomatic corps Shaher Muhammad, Saudi ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah-bin-Naser Al-Busairy, the chiefs of the three services and concerned high civil and military officials at the VVIP lounge of the airport. The President exchanged pleasantries with Hajis on board. Before leaving Saudi Arabia, the President offered Jiarat at the Rauza Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him) last night. The President left Dhaka for Jeddah on September 30 to perform holy Hajj as a royal guest of the Saudi King, according to a news agency.
