President, CA greet Maldives President Gayoom

President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed and Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed have greeted Republic of the Maldives President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom on the occasion of the country's Independence Day that falls on Saturday, reports UNB.
In a message, Dr Iajuddin said Bangladesh and the Maldives enjoy excellent bilateral relations.
'I'm confident that the existing warm and friendly relations between our two countries will be further strengthened in the days to come,' he said.
Dr Fakhruddin, in another message, said the two countries enjoy excellent relations in bilateral, regional and multinational levels. 'I have no doubt we will continue to work together to further widen and deepen the same,' he said.
Both the President and the Chief Adviser wished good health, happiness and long life of Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of the Maldives.
