President, CA greet Pak counterparts

President Dr Iajuddin Ahmed and Chief Adviser (CA) Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed have greeted their Pakistani counterparts on the occasion of Pakistan Day which falls today (Sunday), reports UNB.
In a message to the President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf, President Iajuddin Ahmed said, "The relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan are characterised by warmth of friendship and cooperation. We are committed to take our relations, through sustained efforts, to greater heights."
In a separate message to Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro, the Chief Adviser said, "Bangladesh greatly values its relations with Pakistan. Our bilateral relations are deep rooted in history, culture and traditions."
He also expressed confidence that the close friendly ties existing between the two countries will be further strengthened in the days ahead.
The President and the Chief Adviser also wished their good health, personal well-being and long life and for the continued peace progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Pakistan.
