President, CA greet Philippines President on occasion of Independence Day

President Iajuddin Ahmed and Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed have greeted President of the Philippines Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on the occasion of Independence Day of his country that falls Thursday, reports UNB.
In a message to Macapagal-Arroyo, President Iajuddin said Bangladesh and the Philippines enjoy warm and cordial relations, which have grown in depth and dimension over the years.
The Chief Adviser, in separate message, said, "It is my firm conviction that the bonds of friendship that so happily exist between our two countries will be further strengthened and consolidated in many dimensions in the days ahead for the mutual benefit of our two peoples".
Both the President and Chief Adviser wished for Macapagal-Arroyo's good health, long life and happiness as well as for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Philippines.
