President condoles death of Dr Mosharraf

President Abdul Hamid on Wednesday expressed deep shock at the death of Awami League leader and former lawmaker Dr Mosharraf Hossain. In a message of condolence, the President described his death as an irreparable loss to the nation and said the nation will remember him forever for his outstanding role in the Liberation War. Abdul Hamid prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the members and relatives of the bereaved family. Dr Mosharraf, a valiant Freedom Fighter who had a significant role in the country’s War of Independence in 1971, died of a heart attack at Apollo Hospitals. He was 79. Dr Mosharraf was elected as a lawmaker in the 1970 elections. He was given the Independence Award in 2013 for his role in the Liberation War, according to BSS.
