President for upholding fame of army acquired at home, abroad

President M Zillur Rahman has called for upholding the fame of Bangladesh Army acquired at home and abroad through efficient discharge of their professional duties, reports UNB.
The President made the call when Chief of Army Staff Gen Abdul Mubeen met him at Bangabhaban Sunday.
The President said: "Members of Bangladesh armed forces are discharging their duties with sincerity and efficiency at the UN peacekeeping missions."
He expressed satisfaction over the activities of Bangladesh armed forces, which are involved in maintaining security on the occasion of the ICC World Cup Cricket in the country alongside urban development.
Gen Mubeen informed the President that some 2,500 members of the armed forces are presently working in UN peacekeeping mission in Ivory Coast while Bangladesh army contingent in Kuwait is also doing well.
