President greets PM for taking initiatives to build hospital

President M Zillur Rahman Thursday congratulated Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina for taking initiatives to build an international standard hospital and nursing institute on 20-bigha of Awami Foundation at Nabinagar in Savar, reports BSS.
In a letter to the PM, the President termed the decision as a humane initiative and said the PM had set an example of great sacrifice by taking the steps.
"Your continuous efforts to contribute in human welfare made me emotional" he said, adding, "You are the able successor of Bangabandhu."
The President prayed to Almighty Allah so that the dreams of Bangabandhu would be materialised through the works of his daughter Sheikh Hasina.
Press Secretary to the President AKM Nesar Uddin Bhuiyan as a special emissary of President M Zillur Rahman handed over the letter to the PM at her parliamentary office at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban Thursday evening.
The PM Wednesday announced that a 250- bed non- profit hospital and nursing institute with the initiative of Awami Foundation will be set up at Savar to provide healthcare facilities for the common people at nominal cost.
Sheikh Hasina, lifetime chairperson of the Awami Foundation, announced this while presiding over a meeting of the Foundation at Gonobhaban here.
