President hopes Int'l Orgs to support health infrastructures

President Zillur Rahman Monday expressed his hope that the international organisations would support the government efforts in setting up health infrastructures to reach healthcare services to the disaster-prone coastal areas of the country, reports BSS.
In a message on the eve of the World Health Day, the President said the country face diverse natural calamities every year due to its geographical location.
Zillur Rahman said health problem is involved with every disaster and that is why hospitals need to be kept ready for providing healthcare services during disaster.
"I think this year's theme of the Day dubbed 'Save Lives:
Make Hospitals Safe in Emergencies' is time-befitting one, said the President.
"I am delighted to know that the World Health Day is being observed in Bangladesh like elsewhere in the world," he said. He hoped the World Health Day-2009 a success.
