President hosts Iftar party

President Abdul Hamid on Thursday hosted an Iftar party at Bangabhaban in the honour of the Prime Minister, the Speaker, the Chief Justice, Cabinet members, MPs, foreign diplomats, eminent citizens and high military and civil officials. On her arrival at the presidential palace, the Prime Minister was received by President Abdul Hamid. Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Chief Justice Md Muzammel Hossain, former President HM Ershad, Cabinet members, advisers to the Prime Minister, MPs, Supreme Court judges, Cabinet secretary, chiefs of three services, foreign diplomats, vice-chancellors of public universities, editors and senior journalists and a good number of eminent citizens and high military and civil officials also attended the Iftar party, according to a news agency.
