President hosts reception for Buddhist community

President M Zillur Rahman hosted a reception for the members of the Buddhist community on the occasion of Holy Buddha Purnima, the biggest religious festival of the Buddhist community, at the city's Bangabhaban Thursday afternoon, reports BSS.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua, State Minister for Religious Affairs Advocate M Shahjahan Miah, Ambassadors of Thailand, Vietnam and Bhutan, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Bangladesh, representatives from international organisations and members of the Buddhist community attended the reception.
President Zillur Rahman exchanged greetings with them and wished them a happy and prosperous future.
Religious Affairs Secretary and secretaries to the President's Office were present on the occasion.
