President hosts reception to Hindu community

President Iajuddin Ahmed and his wife Anwara Begum hosted a reception at Bangabhaban in the city Tuesday on the occasion of Jonmashtomi, a major religious festival of the Hindu community, reports UNB.
Adviser for Religious Affairs ASM Matiur Rahman, Indian Deputy High Commissioner, Nepal's Charge de Affaires, representatives of international organisations, and distinguished members of Hindu community of different classes and professions attended the reception.
The President and his wife welcomed the guests, exchanged pleasantries and wished them a happy and prosperous future.
Secretary for Religious Affairs M Ataur Rahman, Military Secretary to the President M Aminul Karim, Secretary to the President M Sirajul Islam and Press Secretary to the President M Abdul Awal Hawlader were, among others, present at the reception.
