President invited to attend 4th CICA summit

President M Abdul Hamid has been invited to attend the 4th summit of the ‘Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia’ (CICA) to be held on May 20-21 in Shanghai, China. Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Li Jun, on behalf of Chinese President Xi  Jinping, handed over an invitation letter to State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam during a meeting held at the latter’s office on Sunday. During the meeting, the Chinese envoy discussed the forthcoming visit of China’s Yunnan Province governor Li Jiheng to Bangladesh in the third week of March, according to a news agency.
