President leaves for S'pore tonight

President M Abdul Hamid Advocate will leave Dhaka for Singapore tonight (Saturday) on a seven-day visit for undergoing his follow up of eye treatment at Singapore National Eye Centre, reports BSS. Besides the eye treatment, the President would also undergo medical checkup at Mount Elizabeth Hospital there, President's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told the news agency Friday. The President will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport tonight by a regular Singapore Airlines flight and is expected to return home on August 31. President Abdul Hamid will be accompanied by his spouse Rashida Khanom. The President's entourage includes Secretary of the President's Office Monzur Hossain, Military Secretary to the President Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed, Private Secretary to the President Sampad Barua and President's personal physician Brig Gen SM Motahar Hossain.
