President mourns Mina deaths

President Md Abdul Hamid has expressed deep shock at the death of 453 people in a stampede during Holy Hajj rituals in Mina, outside Saudi Holy city of Mecca. In a condolence message on Thursday, the President prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family members. Abdul Hamid also wished early recovery of the people injured in the tragic incident. At least 450 other Hajj pilgrims were injured in Thursday’s stampede. – UNB
