President off to Singapore

President Abdul Hamid left here for Singapore on Saturday night on a seven-day visit for his follow-up medical treatment there. A regular flight of Singapore Airlines carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport at 11:55 pm. Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, State Minster for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, the dean of the diplomatic corps in Bangladesh, the cabinet secretary, the chiefs of the three services and high civil and military officials concerned saw him off at the airport at Kurmitola in Dhaka. The President will undergo medical check-up at National Eye Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital in the South East Asian country, according to a news agency.
