President offers Eid prayers at Nat\\\'l Eidgah

President offered his Eid-ul-Fitr prayer along with hundreds of people from all walks of life at the National Eidgah in High Court area in the city on Tuesday morning. The Chief Justice, ministers, state ministers, judges of the Supreme Court, members of parliament, senior political leaders and high civil and military officials also offered the prayers at the main Eid jamaat held at 8.30 am. Khatib of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Prof Maulana Muhammad Salahuddin conducted the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers. A special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for peace, progress and welfare of the country as wells as the Muslim Ummah. Divine blessings were sought for the protection of Palestinian people from the atrocities of Israel. After the prayers, President Abdul Hamid exchanged Eid greetings with the devotees. The Eid Jamaat was held under the auspices of Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) south. Special arrangements were also made for women to offer their Eid prayers at the National Eidgah, according to a news agency.
