President, PM for stopping wastage

National Energy Security Day-2015 will be observed today (Sunday) commemorating the historic decision taken by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975, reports BSS.
Bagabandhu bought five gas fields from the then Shell Oil Company for the state on August 9 in 1975.
President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina gave separate messages on the eve of the day.
In his message, President Abdul Hamid called upon all to contribute to national development by making proper use of energy and stopping its wastage.
In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon all to be more caring to ensure the best use of natural gas and prevent wastage of this resource.
She hoped that the observance of National Energy Security Day-2015 would play an important role in creating public awareness in this regard.
