President, PM greet Pope Benedict

President Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have congratulated Pope Benedict (XVI) on the occasion of the Anniversary of the Election Day of Pope that falls today (Sunday), reports UNB.
In a message to Pope Benedict, Zillur expressed his confidence that Bangladesh and the Holy See would engage more in all possible areas of cooperation for mutual benefit of the two peoples in the days ahead.
In a separate message, Hasina said, "The excellent bilateral relations that so happily exist between our two countries will continue to grow and flourish in depth and dimension to the mutual benefit of our two peoples in the years to come."
Both the President and the Prime Minister wished Pope Benedict's good heath, personal well-being and happiness and continued peace, progress and prosperity for the friendly people of the Holy See.
