President, PM join Speaker\\\'s iftar party

President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended an iftar party on Tuesday hosted by Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury. Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, and Opposition Leader Raushon Ershad joined the iftar party held on the Jatiya Sangsad premises. On their arrival at the venue, the President and Prime Minister were received by Dr Shirin Sharmin. Later, Abdul Hamid and Sheikh Hasina accompanied by Dr Shirin Sharmin went around the different tables set for the guests and exchanged pleasantries with them. Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation. Deputy Speaker Fazley Rabbi Mian conducted the munajat, according to a news agency.
