President, PM, JS, Khaleda greet Tigers

President Abdul Hamid on Monday congratulated the National Cricket Team for their victory against England in the ICC Cricket World Cup that saw the Tigers into the quarterfinals of the mega event, reports UNB.
"The President thanked players, manager, coaches and the Cricket Board officials for the success," President's press secretary Ihsanul Karim told the news agency over the phone from London. The President is currently staying in London for treatment.
Abdul Hamid hoped that the Bangladesh Cricket team will continue their winning trend in the coming matches.
Another report says : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended her heartiest congratulations to the Bangladesh cricket team for qualifying in the quarterfinals of the Cricket World Cup for the first time.
In a congratulatory message, the prime minister greeted the Tigers, manager, coaches, officials of the Cricket Board and other members for their outstanding performance in the World Cup and entering the elite quarterfinal group.
She especially congratulated Mahmudullah Riyad for his ton as the first Bangladeshi cricket player in the World Cup.
Sheikh Hasina greeted numerous supporters of Bangladesh Cricket Team at home and abroad.
The Prime Minister hoped that the team will be able to continue their winning spree in the coming matches also.
Meanwhile, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia greeted Bangladesh cricket team for sealing the quarterfinal berth in the ICC Cricket World Cup for the first time.
In a message, the BNP chairperson hoped that the Tigers would continue the winning streak in the upcoming matches of the World Cup, and wished continued success of Bangladesh cricket.
She also congratulated all the players, the coach, officials and all concerned of the team on their outstanding success.
BSS adds: The Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Monday eveningĀ hailed the Bangladesh Cricket Team for their victory over England by 15 runs in a nail biting Pool A match of the ICC World Cup at Adelaide OvalĀ which ensured the quarterfinals berth of the tigers in the tournament.
Deputy Speaker Fazley Rabbi Mia while presiding over the sitting of the House greeted the tigers for their outstanding victory in the match.
He, on behalf of the parliament, congratulated the Bangladesh Team and all concerned for their brilliant success.
He hoped that the tigers would continue their winning spree in the coming matches of the ICC World Cup.
