President returns home after US visit

President Dr Iajuddin Ahmed Thursday returned home after a weeklong official visit to the US. He arrived at Zia International Airport by a flight of the Emirates airlines at about 8:35pm. The President left the city for New York on October 30. Wife of the President Dr Anwara Begum, Military Secretary to the President Maj Gen Aminul Karim, Secretary M Sirajul Islam and other concerned officials accompanied the President on the US trip. Information Adviser Mainul Hosein, Finance Adviser Mirza Azizul Islam, Cabinet Secretary Ali Imam Majumder, the Dean of Diplomatic Corps, US Charge d' Affaires Geeta Pasi, and senior civil and military officials received him at the airport.
