President signs file on removal of Latif Siddiqui from Cabinet

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday afternoon. ‘During the meeting, they exchanged Eid greetings,’ President’s Press secretary Ihsanul Karim said. The meeting was held after the Holy Hajj and Eid-ul-Azha. President performed Holy Hajj in Saudi Arabia. He returned home on October 10. During the one-hour meeting that started at 2pm, the Prime Minister apprised the President of the outcome of her USA visit from Sept 21 to Sept 29 to attend the 69th UN General Assembly. In reply to a question, the press secretary told reporters that the President signed the file relating to the removal of Telecommunications Minister Abdul Latif Siddiqui from the Cabinet. Cabinet secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and secretaries concerned to the President and the Prime Minister’s Office were present, according to a news agency.
