President stresses speedy dispensation of justice

President M Zillur Rahman Sunday urged judges of the Supreme Court to take measures for dispensation of justice to the common people in the shortest possible time, reports BSS. "Role of the judges is endless to uphold the fundamental rights of the people," he said while four judges of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban. The four judges are Justice Md Abdul Wahab Miah, Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana, Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and Justice Muhammad Imman Ali. During the meeting, the President expressed his satisfaction over the attempts at speedy disposal of cases in the higher judiciary. "I urge all concerned to continue this trend," the President said. Secretaries of the President's office were present on the occasion.
