President urges Dutch, Korean envoys to help boost bilateral cooperation

Ambassadors of South Korea and Netherlands separately presented the credentials to President Abdul Hamid on Tuesday at Bangabhaban, reports UNB.
The envoys are Hu Kang-il of South Korea and Hendrikus GJ (Harry) Verwiji of the Netherlands.
President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed the press after the meeting.
The President said, "South Korea is one of the important development partners of Bangladesh. The trade relationship between Bangladesh and South Korea is very excellent."
He also appreciated the cooperation of South Korea in the socio-economic development of Bangladesh and expressed the hope that the relationship will increase in the days to come.
Ambassador Hu Kang-il said, "Many South Korean investors have already invested in Bangladesh. Some investors are also interested in investing in different sectors."
He also said he will take all steps to increase the bilateral cooperation with Bangladesh.
Welcoming the envoy of the Netherlands Hendrikus GJ ( Harry) Verwiji, the President appreciated the country for its continuous cooperation in Bangladesh's development activities.
The President underscored the need for taping all the possibilities in the respective interests of the Netherlands and Bangladesh in boosting the businesses and trade ties.
Both the ambassadors sought cooperation of the authorities concerned in discharging their duties.
Secretaries concerned to the President and high officials of the Foreign Ministry were present.
