President urges journalists to contribute to national uplift

President M Zillur Rahman Thursday urged journalists to contribute to the national development through playing their due role in the print and electronic media, reports BSS. "The role of journalists is very important for ensuring national development," he said while a delegation of Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) led by its president Mostak Ahmed paid a call on him at Bangabhaban in the city. During the meeting, the DRU delegation apprised the President of different ongoing activities of the organisation, a platform of the news reporters.
