President urges students to grow reading habit

Saturday, 12 April 2014

President Abdul Hamid on Saturday called upon the country’s student community to grow their reading habit instead of confining their knowledge to mere class notes. Reading habit has to be developed instead of confining your knowledge to class notes and note-based knowledge of coaching centers. The practice of art, literature, culture, sports apart from study will help to build your lives,” he said. The President said this while addressing a reception to the students who obtained scholarships in Primary Terminal Examination and GPA-5 in Junior School Certificate Examinations-2013 organised by Saleha-Imarat Charitable Foundation at Bhawaniganj Government Boys’ High School at Baghmara in Rajshahi. Eight local eminent persons and two institutions were given medals by the President at the function, according to UNB.
