President visits St Martins, Inani tourist spots

President Abdul Hamid on Sunday visited St Martin’s island, the country’s lone coral island in the Bay of Bengal. On his arrival at the tiny island on board a helicopter, the President was received by Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral M Farid Habib. The President then travelled to Inani in Cox’s Bazar district to enjoy the spectacular view of the Bay of Bengal from the Inani beach, President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNB from Inani over telephone. On his arrival at Inani, the President was received by Chief of Army Staff General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan. The president will spend night at the Inani Bay-Watch resort and return to Dhaka on Monday. The President is schedule to visit Ramu upazila on Monday to see Buddhist temples there before departing for Dhaka.
