President XI stumble in opener

President XI of Bangladesh made a frustrating start in the prestigious 45th Nehru Cup Hockey Tournament with a 5-1 goals defeat against Bharat Petroleum in the opening 2nd round match at the Nehru Stadium in Gurgaon, Haryana, reports UNB. The winners led the first half 2-0.
After the breather, Rimon Kumar Ghosh scored the consolation goal for Bangladesh in the 51st minute.
President XI will play their second match against South Central Railway today (Friday) at 1:30 pm (BST) at the same venue.
