President's (Remuneration and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill'10 placed in JS

The President's (Remu-neration and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill 2010 was introduced in the House Monday, reports BSS.
Agriculture Minister Begum Motia Chowdhury, also in charge of the Cabinet Division in the House, placed the bill proposing more amendment to the President's (Remuneration and Privi-leges) Act 1975 to re-fix the medical services and other facilities for the President in line with the National Pay Scale 2009 and the changing economic condition.
In the bill, she said, a proposal had been made to increase the salary of the President to Tk 61,200 from Tk 33,400. "The bill has also a provision to raise the medical services and other facilities of the President", she added.
Besides, The Prime Minister's (Remuneration and Privileges) (Amen-dment) Bill, 2010 and ministers, ministers of state and deputy ministers (Remune-ration and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill 2010 were tabled by the agriculture minister in the House.
