Price hike should be curbed

Wednesday, 9 April 2014

Recently, the prices of essentials have gone up and it is suffocating for the low and middle income group of people. We always see the prices of essentials go up on silly excuses. Many people think that businessmen are trying to cover up their losses occurred during pre-election political violence. We don't see any strict monitoring from the commerce ministry to keep the prices under control. The causes of price hike are many and hoarding is one of the important factors for soaring prices. Dishonest traders hoard the essential commodities with an ill motive.
As a result, there is breakdown in the supply and demand chain.  Adequate supply of a few essential commodities is to be ensured. Open market selling of a few essential items can leave a desirable effect. It discourages hoarding and brings stability to the kitchen market.  A number of syndicates are working behind the price hike that should be broken. Otherwise people of our country will suffer from the greed of a few people.
