FE Report
There was a strong market in the week following more interest from internal buyers including the Blenders. Pakistan buyers were also more active. As a result, prices moved up in sellers' favour especially for the good liquoring varieties. Dusts were a dearer market particularly the liquoring types.
CTC LEAF: 25,478 packages and (199 packages of Old Season) met with a stronger demand at higher rates.
BROKENS: Well made good liquoring brokens were a strong feature and were dearer by Tk 2.00 to Tk 3.00 and sold between Tk 85 and Tk 88. The remainder also sold well generally at fully firm to slightly dearer rates.
FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were a much stronger market and were dearer by Tk 2.00 to Tk 3.00 and at times more and these realised prices between Tk 86 and Tk 88. All other varieties were also a stronger feature often by Tk 2.00 to Tk 3.00 except the plainest which were a firm market.
CTC DUST: 4,017 packages and (114 packages of Old Season) on offer met with a strong demand at dearer rates. Better liquoring types were strongly competed for and were dearer by Tk 2.00 to Tk 3.00 and sometimes more. All others were fully firm to slightly dearer following quality. Blenders were more active with good support from the loose tea buyers.
