Prices of essentials decline in Tangail

TANGAIL, Aril 08: Prices of essential commodities including flour, rice, onion and vegetables declined in different markets of the district during last few weeks.
According to market sources, the price of rice declined by Tk 5 to 8 per kg in the last few weeks.
At present coarse rice is being sold at Tk 22 to 24 against Tk 26 to Tk 28, fine varieties Swarna, Paijam and Najishails are being sold at Tk 30 to Tk 35 per kg against Tk 35 to 40.
Price of soyabean oil is stable in the market at Tk 70 to Tk 75 per litre, flour at Tk 20 to Tk 22 against Tk 27 to Tk 28 per kg, lentil and sugar prices slightly up.
Besides prices of vegetables were stable.
The common people specially low and fixed income groups, daily labourers expressed their satisfaction over the present prices of essentials.
