Primary report on power grid failure to be submitted today

The 8-member probe committee, formed to investigate the national power grid failure on Saturday last is expected to submit its primary report to the power ministry today (Wednesday). ‘We’ll submit primary inquiry report on the national power grid failure to the authorities concerned today,’ said power division additional secretary Md Kaikawas, head of the committee. Talking to journalists after visiting the 500-megawatt high voltage Bangladesh-India back to back Bheramara sub-station, Kaikawas described the national power grid failure as a national disaster. The members of the committee reached the sub-station office at 11am and went round the control room and other different departments of the station at Ramkrishnapur in Kushtia’s Bheramara, according to a news agency.
