Prime Bank, BEPZA sign deal for offshore banking

Prime Bank Limited (PBL) will provide its offshore banking services to Adamjee EPZ for facilitating investors and adjacent people of Shiddirganj.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Prime Bank Limited in the city Monday.
BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Prasanta Bhushan Barua and PBL Deputy Managing Director Nasir Uddin Ahmed signed the lease agreement of behalf of their respective organisations.
A branch of the bank will be operated inside the EPZ area from which local and foreign investors will get offshore banking facilities including financial and commercial services.
The bank is also operating two more such branches in Dhaka and Chittagong EPZs.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Ashraf Abdullah Yussuf, Member (engineering) Md Farhad Uddin, Member (finance) AKM Mahbubur Rahman, General Manager (investment promotion) AN Azizur Rahman, Deputy General Manager (public relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir, Manager (industrial relations) Md Abdus Sobhan and PBL Managing Director Shahjahan Bhuiyan were also present among others, on the occasion.
